Lately I've had a resurge of interest in Higurashi and Umineko. I bought the Minagoroshi-hen manga arc for Christmas (awesome books, I highly recommend) and wanted more than anything to get the Umineko visual novel because Rika/Bernkastel is my favourite character from anime and apparently this VN is god-tier, especially compared to the anime adaptation. However, exams stopped me going anywhere near the VN, so I had to hold off for a whole month - really killed me. Anyway, I've now bought the VN of ep1-4, and I've patched it into HD with English text so I can play it very leisurely from my bed on my tablet PC it's a brilliant VN so far. I installed it first into my Program Files (x86), made a save and then dragged it onto the memory stick - I don't know where it keeps its saves, but it appears to save and load happily purely from the memory stick now (although the save files seem to be kept somewhere off the stick like a system .dll, I don't know), which is awesome.
